We are following Social Distancing precautions as recommended by the CDC. The Okaloosa Online 2020-2021 registration packets may be emailed or mailed to you, for your convenience. Once the registration packet has been filled out, you may email it, mail it, or fax it back. If you are bringing the registration packet back, please drop it off at our office (Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM). If you are wanting to schedule a meeting, it is by appointment only: Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM. Please call us at 850.689.2043.

Recognizing that students learn in a myriad of ways, Okaloosa Online promotes the education of each student through the innovation of online learning, equipping students with the knowledge to achieve personal and professional success in the 21st century. Okaloosa Online is a K-12 home-based public school and we offer several different learning platforms to fit your student’s needs. The online options are listed below.
This is the main platform used for Okaloosa County students. These courses are taught by Okaloosa County teachers. This is an internet-based, fully digital platform. Edgenuity is used for grades 6-12 and is open year-round. Please contact the guidance counselor at your school for more information about logging into this platform.
Calvert is the platform for students in grades K-5. It features a book-based curriculum. There are certain enrollment periods for the 2020-2021 school year:

This program is for home-school students in grade K12 and is designed to encompass more parental involvement as it is predominantly book-based. All registration for this program will be completed online through the K12 program. K12 has certain enrollment periods for the 2020-2021 school year:

My Virtual Classroom is a platform that allows a student to take Florida Virtual School courses that are managed through the Panhandle Area Educational Consortium. Courses for part-time enrollment can be enrolled in at any time and the teacher will be a Florida Certified Teacher which may or may not be from Okaloosa County. My Virtual Classroom offers K-12 courses for both public school, VIP, and home education students. You can speak to your school guidance counselor or contact 850-638-6131 to speak to Bonnie Wertenberger, Program Manager (x2259) or Cindi Davis, Program Assistant (x2319) at My Virtual Classroom – PAEC/FLVS.
